He lives with his father (Anupam Kher), brother (Sachin Khedekar) and sister (Richa Behl) about whom he is overtly protective. When a goon molests his sister, an enraged Deva cuts off his arm. He ends up being imprisoned and is eschewed by his father. In the prison, he is exposed to the criminal world and eventually becomes a part of it.
