He has big dreams and hopes, and they take shape and form, albeit in theory only, when he meets Aruna Khosla (Moushumi Chatterjee) at a wedding get reception. Both are attracted to each other. Aruna comes from a rich and wealthy background, and Ajay is afraid that by telling her the truth, she may not have anything to do with him - so he exaggerates, living the life of his rich and well-off friend, Prakash Mariwalla. He even manages to impress Aruna's mom (Urmilla Bhatt) and lawyer dad (Satyen Kappu). But Mr. Khosla finds out about Ajay's background, and instructs his daughter never to see Ajay again. He further goes on to prosecute Ajay in a court of law for manufacturing sub-standard galvanometers. Ajay's defense lawyer, Mr. Kapoor (Shreeram Lagoo) argues to everyone's disbelief that Ajay is a victim of a consipiracy. {loadposition haan}
